The number of Belarus' border violators has almost halved over the past month, Chairman of the State Border Committee of Belarus Anatoly Lappo told the media on 6 May.
“We have registered virtually half as many border violators over the past month,” Anatoly Lappo said.
Smuggling attempts, however, did not reduce considerably.
As for the Belarusian border checkpoints, they continue to operate as usual. “We are open,” the chairman of the State Border Committee added.
