Vidzy (Tverecius) will operate as an international border checkpoint as from 2 July in line with Decree No. 139 of 22 April 2020, BelTA has learned from the State Customs Committee of Belarus.

“However, Lithuania has sent us a notification saying that due to the state of emergency the Tverecius border checkpoint will remain closed until 24.00 of 16 July unless other decisions are taken by the government,” the State Customs Committee said.

Additional information on the actual opening of the checkpoint for people, goods and vehicles will be communicated in due course, the State Customs Committee noted.
