Belarus' men's coxless pair and women's lightweight doubles scullers completed their contention at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, BelTA has learned.
In Final B (7th-12th places) Belarus' men's coxless pair Siarhei Valadzko and Dzmitry Furman finished 2nd to secure the 8th place overall (6:25.88). Niki van Sprang and Guillaume Krommenhoek of the Netherlands finished in 6:22.85.
Belarus' lightweight doubles scullers Alena Furman and Ina Nikulina clocked 6:57.84 to finish 5th in Final B and 11th overall.
The Tokyo Olympics were initially to take place on 24 July-9 August 2020. Due to the pandemic the competitions were moved to 2021 and kicked off on 23 July. Belarus in Tokyo is represented by 108 athletes in 20 sports.
