An official opening ceremony of the 29th International Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk will take place in the Summer Amphitheater on 16 July, BelTA has learned.
The program of the forum on its first day will include various master classes, performances, quests, and dance shows at the street art festival On Seven Winds. An exhibition of portraits made of coins will open at the Local History Museum. Residents will be invited to visit craftsmen' fairs.
In the afternoon, a new star will be lit up in the Laureates' Square near the Summer Amphitheater. The star will bear the name of Philipp Kirkorov, the winner of the special award of the Belarusian president “Through Art - to Peace and Mutual Understanding”. The singer will take part in the opening concert. According to the singer, this will be his first performance after the restrictions have been imposed due to the pandemic.
The opening concert at the Summer Amphitheater in the evening will feature popular artists, regular participants of the festival and young performers. They will include Sergei Polunin, Elena Vaenga, Alexander Buinov, Oleg Mityaev, Inna Malikova, Anna Semenovich, Mitya Fomin, Inna Afanasyeva, Anatoly Yarmolenko and the Syabry band, Tima Belorusskih, Vlad Sytnik and many others.
Half an hour before midnight, the first open-air cinema night will take place at the venue near the Vitebsk concert hall. The new free of charge project has been organized jointly with the National Film Studio Belarusfilm. The studio's films will be screened during several nights. This year the venue near the Vitebsk concert hall will also host a children's contest.
The 29th edition of the International Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk will take place on 16-19 July. The major events of the festival will be the international contest of popular song performers Vitebsk 2020 and the international children's music contest Vitebsk 2020.
