The first virtual exhibition of Belarusian manufacturers Made in Belarus will open on 16 June, BelTA learned from Director of the Belinterexpo exhibition operator at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) Yevgeny Vvedensky.

“Seeing the interest in online resources, we have decided to look into this option and analyze the existing solutions and approaches. We have discussed this with our Belarusian enterprises and have decided to set up the first virtual exhibition of domestic manufacturers Made in Belarus centered around agricultural and food products. The event is scheduled for 16 June,” Yevgeny Vvedensky noted.

The exhibition will take the form of an online platform consisting of stands of companies grouped in two pavilions. Every stand will feature a video greeting from the participating company, virtual exhibits, documents and images with various business offers, as well as contact details. The platform will also have a chat to enable representatives of companies communicate with visitors of the exhibition.

“We expect at least 5,000 visitors from ten countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine. The program of the event will also include an online international agricultural forum of agricultural and food enterprises to discuss issues facing the sector in production and sales of goods,” Yevgeny Vvedensky said.

The virtual exhibition will be running online for a month, which should give everyone enough time to visit the event, the organizers believe.

Made in Belarus is an established brand. Around 200 events in 60 countries featuring several thousand Belarusian companies have been held within the framework of the project. Contracts worth over $217 million were signed at such events last year.

The BelCCI launched a series of streams on its YouTube channel on 12 May. This is a new avenue of work, which is aimed at reducing the impact of the economic downturn and ensuring a rapid and effective revival in the future.

The first online workshop was dedicated to exhibition activities. All in all, plans are in place to hold ten online streams. They will focus on such topics as certificates of origin, force majeure circumstances in government procurement, trademarks, BelCCI assistance with property valuation, effective participation in exhibitions, and so on.
