Belarus to reduce oil export duties on 1 May

On 1 May 2020 Belarus will reduce customs duties on oil and petroleum products, which are exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The decision was formalized by the Council of Ministers' Resolution No.259 of 29 April, BelTA has learned.

The export duty on crude oil will go down from $52 to $6.8 per tonne.

The export duty on straight-run gasoline will decrease from $28.6 to $3.7 per tonne. The export duty on commercial gasoline, light and middle distillates will make up $2 instead of $15.6 per tonne. The same rate is applied to diesel fuel, benzene, toluene, xylene, lubricants, and other oils.

The export duties on crude oil and some categories of derivative oil products were previously revised on 1 April. Then, they were revised downwards as well.
