More than 5 million tonnes of grain have been harvested in Belarus so far, BelTA learned from the Telegram channel of the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
As of 12 August, 1.6 million hectares planted to grain and leguminous crops (excluding corn, buckwheat, millet) were harvested, or almost 76% of the target.
All in all, 5,048,200 tonnes of grain were threshed. In the lead is Minsk Oblast with over 1.2 million tonnes. Brest Oblast goes second with 1,026,000 tonnes and is followed by Grodno Oblast (753,300 tonnes), Mogilev Oblast (742,800), Gomel Oblast (647,100 tonnes) and Vitebsk Oblast (637,900 tonnes).
