54.4% of Belarusians fully vaccinated against COVID-19

More than 5.680 million people in Belarus have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine (60.8%), of them over 5.89 million have received their second jab (54.4%), BelTA learned from the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.

More than 97.3% of healthcare workers, over 80.7% of people working in education, over 87,4% of employees of residential care facilities and social workers got two shots; 96.8% of people living in residential care facilities and also 77.3% of people over 60 and people with chronic diseases.

In October 2021,Belarus began vaccinating pregnant women. A total of 8,993 people have completed the full course.

Over 61,504 teenagers aged 12-17 have received one shot of the vaccine (10.7% of the total teenage population), of them more than 35,334 children (6.1%) have been fully vaccinated.

Booster vaccination continues. A total of 507,607 people received the third dose of the vaccine.
