A total of 1,043 citizens of Ukraine entered Belarus in the past 24 hours, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.

“From 6.00 on 5 April to 6.00 on 6 April some 783 citizens of Ukraine arrived in Belarus through the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. Another 237 people came to Belarus transiting through Poland. 22 Ukrainians passed in transit through Lithuania, and 1 through Latvia. Belarus continues to provide necessary assistance to people arriving from the Ukrainian territory,” the State Border Committee said.

According to the State Border Committee, since 3 April foreign nationals arriving in Belarus due to the social and political situation in Ukraine, including those transiting through other countries, do not need a PCR test (certificate) to enter the country. In addition, foreign nationals traveling from Ukraine to the place of permanent residence are allowed visa-free entry to Belarus until 15 April inclusively.

Mobile drugstores have been set up in the village of Poddobryanka and near the Novaya Guta border checkpoint for Ukrainian citizens. Belarusian checkpoints are operating in a routine mode.
